The families that will meet demand are returned.

The Planning Worksheet is updated to show which lines have been planned from the Family Production Worksheet window.

The Family Supply FactBox shows the demand and supply of each item being produced.

The Family Overages FactBox shows the items where the overage is greater than the planning overage percentage defined on the Manufacturing Setup window.

The Family Shortages FactBox shows the items where demand is not being met.

  7. If required, on the Home tab, choose Add Family to add a family to the worksheet. The Family Selection window opens and allows you to choose the family number and number of families to produce.

  8. If required, choose a family that you want to delete, and on the Home tab, choose Delete Family.

When you are finished populating the Family Production Worksheet window, you can then carry out the action, which will create the planned production orders.

To create the planned production orders

When the action is carried out successfully, the records are removed from the Family Production Worksheet and the Planning Worksheet window, and the planned production orders are created. If items remain in the standard Planning Worksheet window at this point, then those items were not included in the family plan.
