Plant users need to choose a device, which will determine what work and machine centers will be displayed in Plant. In order for a center to be displayed in Plant, you need to assign the centers to a device.
You can also assign a device group, which will determine how Plant will act, such as which fields are displayed and whether labels can be printed.
Open the Plant Devices window.
On the Home tab, choose New.
Enter the number that will represent the plant device in the No. field.
Enter the name of the plant device in the Name field.
Open the Plant Devices window.
On the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit List.
In the Device Group No. field, select a group.
Close the window.
The configuration settings that apply to the device group will apply to all associated devices.
Work centers and machine centers can be associated with a Plant device. Only centers that are associated with devices will be available in Plant based on the selected device.
If centers are not assigned to a device, then no centers will be available from Plant.
Open the Plant Devices window.
Choose the device that you want to add centers to.
On the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Work/Machine Centers.
In the Type field, choose Work Center or Machine Center.
In the No. field, choose the center number that you want to assign to the Plant device.
Add as many centers as required.
