How to Set up Plant Labels

In order for labels to print when Post is clicked on the Plant Material Output screen, you need to complete these steps.

Labels are printed when Post is clicked on the Plant Material Output screen, and Post & Print is selected for the Post Action field on the Plant Device Configuration window. Plant will look at the lines on the Label Configuration window, where the Label Type is Item, to determine which inventory label will be printed.

To define the report buffer path

You need to define the temporary location where the Plant files are stored before being sent to a printer. The default value is c:\temp.

The report buffer is used for labels and the Batch Ticket report.

The Batch Ticket report is printed when Batch Ticket is clicked from the Select Operation, Consumption or Output screen. The report to be printed is defined on the JustFood Plant Device Configuration window in the Batch Ticket Report Id field. The provided Batch Ticket report is 23019504.

  1. Create a folder where you want to store the temporary files. The folder must exist on the JustFood service machine, and the service tier credentials must have read/write/modify access to this folder.

  2. Open the Plant Setup window.

  3. Enter a network path in the Report Buffer Path field.

When the service tier is on a separate machine from the client, the report buffer path must be a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). In a format such as the following:

    \\<servername>\<folder>

    For example,

    \\axsp1\SharedDocuments

  4. Close the window.
